User Summaries

The Ignition → Backers screen in wp-admin gives staff a site-wide view of pledging activity — one row per user who has pledged, with pledge totals. It requires the igcf_view_user_summaries capability, which administrators and operators hold.

The list and every figure on it follow your Live or Test view. A backer whose only pledge is to a test campaign appears in Test view, and only there.

The Backers list at Ignition → Backers shows one row per user who has at least one pledge.

Column What it shows
Name The user’s display name. A status pill marks Guest or Unverified users where applicable.
Email The user’s email address.
Total Pledged Sum of pending and succeeded pledge amounts. Canceled pledges are excluded.
Total Received Money actually collected — succeeded payments minus succeeded refunds.
Campaigns Backed Distinct count of campaigns the user has pledged to.
Last Pledge Date of the user’s most recent pledge.
View What it shows
All Every backer with at least one pledge.
Registered Backers who completed registration normally.
Guest Backers who pledged through the guest checkout flow without setting a password.
Unverified Registered backers who have not yet verified their email address.

A search box at the top filters by display name, email, or username. Click any sortable column header to reorder the list. The allowed sort columns are Name, Email, Total Pledged, Total Received, Campaigns Backed, and Last Pledge.

Every total on this screen counts one side of the Live/Test divide — whichever view you are in — never both at once.

Click View on any row to open the per-backer detail page. The detail page displays:

  • Header — display name, email, account status (Registered / Guest / Unverified).
  • Pledge totals — stat tiles for Total Pledged, Total Received (collected, net of refunds), Refunded, and Canceled, each with a tooltip explaining the figure. They cover the side you are viewing; in Test view a tile reading zero is captioned “Test view — live totals are hidden”, so it cannot be mistaken for a backer who never paid.
  • Lifetime stats — first pledge date, last pledge date, and average pledge amount.
  • Links — to the WordPress user-edit screen and to the admin Pledges list filtered to this backer.

A matching Creators list — one row per user who has created a campaign, with campaign and fundraising totals, plus per-creator detail pages — is part of the Ignition Platform Mode add-on, since campaign creators are a platform-mode concept. It uses the same igcf_view_user_summaries capability. See The Creators list. A default install has the Backers screen only.

When a member of staff views the wp-admin Pledges or Campaigns list, the backer-name cells link directly to the matching backer detail page. The link is shown only to users who hold the igcf_view_user_summaries capability. With Platform Mode active, author-name cells link to the corresponding creator detail page in the same way.

  • Live and Test view — The toggle that decides which backers and which totals this screen shows.
