Sharing
Ignition Crowdfunding integrates with the free Better Sharing plugin to add share buttons across the platform — on campaign pages, after a backer pledges, in the backer’s pledge detail view, and in a campaign’s management view. Share buttons are off by default; turn them on per location from Ignition > Settings > Sharing.
Installing Better Sharing
Section titled “Installing Better Sharing”Share buttons require the Better Sharing plugin. Open Ignition > Settings > Sharing. If Better Sharing is not yet installed or active, the tab shows an install panel:

Once Better Sharing is active, the install panel disappears and the location toggles become editable.
Locations
Section titled “Locations”Sharing locations are grouped by who sees the share buttons.
Public campaign pages
Section titled “Public campaign pages”Anyone with the link can see and share — visitor, backer, or campaign organizer.

Campaign backers

Campaign management

Each location has its own toggle — enable only the surfaces you want.
Editing the share buttons and email message
Section titled “Editing the share buttons and email message”Each location is powered by two Better Sharing templates:
- A block template that controls the layout and which social networks appear.
- An email template used when someone picks “Share via email” on the share widget.
Beside each location’s toggle, the Sharing tab provides Edit block and Edit email links that deep-link into the Better Sharing editor for that template. Editing a template affects every page that uses that location.
Tokens you can use in templates
Section titled “Tokens you can use in templates”When editing a Better Sharing template for one of these locations, you can include Ignition Crowdfunding tokens that are substituted at send time. The token wrapper syntax is {{ token_name }}.
