Settings
Configure the plugin at Ignition > Settings in your WordPress admin. Settings are organized into six tabs: General, Setup, Payments, Emails, Sharing, and Add-ons. An operator sees only the tabs and fields they can change: no Setup or Payments tab, and no administrator-only fields such as currency or the sender email address.
The Setup tab groups the one-time configuration the plugin needs to function. After activation the tab label carries an attention dot (Setup •) whenever any item below still needs configuration, so administrators are pointed at the right page on first run.
Currency
Section titled “Currency”The Currency dropdown sets the site currency. Choose from 20 supported currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CAD, AUD, CHF, CNY, SEK, NZD, MXN, SGD, HKD, NOK, KRW, TRY, INR, BRL, ZAR, PLN. The selection drives the currency code stored on every new pledge and the symbol used when amounts render on the frontend.
Page assignments
Section titled “Page assignments”The plugin needs four pages to function. Each page must contain a specific block (or shortcode). Each field includes a Create Page button that auto-generates a page with the matching block already inserted, or a dropdown to select an existing page.
| Field | Block | Shortcode | Default page title |
|---|---|---|---|
| Login / Register Page | igcf/auth-form |
[igcf_auth_form] |
Account |
| Dashboard Page | igcf/dashboard |
[igcf_dashboard] |
Dashboard |
| Checkout Page | igcf/checkout |
[igcf_checkout] |
Checkout |
| Terms & Conditions Page | (any page) | — | (none — user-provided) |
The Terms & Conditions page is user-provided and not validated for a specific block — pick any published page that contains your terms copy. When set, a required acceptance checkbox appears on the checkout review step and on the registration form. Leave it unset to disable the requirement entirely.
Share Buttons
Section titled “Share Buttons”The Setup tab also surfaces the install/activate panel for the free Better Sharing plugin, which the Sharing tab depends on. When Better Sharing is active, the field shows a confirmation message; when it is missing, an install or activate button takes you through the setup in place. Per-location sharing toggles live on the Sharing tab.
General tab
Section titled “General tab”The General tab holds the day-to-day knobs that change how campaigns and pledges behave. The sections below all live on this tab.
Terms & conditions behavior
Section titled “Terms & conditions behavior”When a Terms & Conditions page is assigned in Setup → Terms & Conditions Page, backers must check “I agree to the Terms and Conditions” before completing each pledge. If a WordPress privacy policy page is also configured (under Settings > Privacy), the checkbox links to both pages. The checkbox appears on every checkout — each pledge requires independent acceptance.
Creator and moderation settings (add-on)
Section titled “Creator and moderation settings (add-on)”Requiring approval before campaigns go live, and letting visitors register as campaign creators, are provided by the Ignition Platform Mode add-on. When it is active, both settings appear under Ignition → Settings → Add-ons → Platform Mode. A default install has neither: campaigns are authored by staff and published without a review step.
Test campaigns
Section titled “Test campaigns”Test campaigns have no settings. Whether you see them is decided by two things and neither is a setting: you must be able to edit other people’s campaigns, and you must be in Test view.
See Live and Test view for the toggle, and Test Campaigns for the feature.
Pledge amounts
Section titled “Pledge amounts”| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Suggested amounts | Up to six preset amounts displayed as clickable chips on the pledge form |
| Pledge amount limits | Optional minimum and maximum pledge amounts. Leave either empty for no limit |
The site Currency lives on the Setup tab. Offline payment instructions live on the Payments tab under the Offline gateway sub-page.
Backer list
Section titled “Backer list”| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Show backer list on campaign pages | When enabled, each campaign page displays a list of backers. Backers can choose to appear anonymously at checkout or toggle their visibility from the Backer Dashboard. Enabled by default. |
Reward levels
Section titled “Reward levels”| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Reward Levels | Enabled | When enabled, the campaign wizard includes a Rewards step for adding tiered pledge rewards. When disabled, the Rewards step is hidden and all campaigns use pledge-what-you-want only. |
| PWYW Alongside Rewards | Enabled | When enabled, a “Pledge What You Want” option appears alongside reward tiers on campaign pages, letting backers pledge any amount. When disabled, only the defined tiers are available. |
See Reward Levels for how this feature works.
Guest checkout
Section titled “Guest checkout”| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Allow guest checkout | When enabled, backers in the pledge flow can continue with just an email address — no account or password required. Guest users appear as “Guest” on the backer list and cannot view pledge history in the dashboard. Disabled by default. |
Guest checkout is independent of the WordPress Anyone can register setting. See Guest Checkout for full details.
Payments
Section titled “Payments”The Payments tab lists every registered payment gateway with a status badge, an enabled checkbox, and a per-gateway Configure link. The Offline gateway is bundled with Core and ships enabled; future gateway add-ons appear in the same listing. See Payments for the full reference.
Email notifications
Section titled “Email notifications”The Emails tab governs every transactional email the plugin sends.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| From Name | The name shown in the “From” field of outgoing emails. Defaults to the site name. |
| From Email | The sender email address. Defaults to the site admin email. |
| Email toggles | Enable or disable each notification email individually. All enabled by default. |
The Emails tab also includes a preview link for each email type, so you can see how it will look before enabling it.
See Email Notifications for the full list of emails and when they are sent.
Sharing
Section titled “Sharing”The Sharing tab toggles the share buttons that appear on the campaign sidebar, the pledge confirmation page, the pledge detail view, and the campaign management view. Share buttons require the free Better Sharing plugin; install/activate it from Setup → Share Buttons first, then come back here to configure per-location toggles and templates.
See Sharing for the full list of locations and how to customize the templates.
Add-ons
Section titled “Add-ons”The Add-ons tab is a read-only catalog of add-ons that extend Ignition Crowdfunding. Each row shows the add-on’s status (Active, Inactive, or Not Installed), its installed and latest versions, and a link to download or update it. Installing and activating add-ons happens on the WordPress Plugins screen — the Add-ons tab only points you to the downloads.
See Add-ons for the full reference.
Admin pledge and backer exports
Section titled “Admin pledge and backer exports”Two CSV-export buttons sit next to the title on wp-admin → Ignition → Pledges:
| Button | What it emits | Respects list filters? |
|---|---|---|
| Export Pledges | One row per pledge (20 columns: Pledge ID, Backer Name, Backer Email, Campaign Title, Author Name, Author Email, Reward Title, Amount, Reward Minimum Amount, Status, Cancel Reason, Processing Fee, Net to Recipient, Date, Currency, Payment Method, Display Preference, Campaign ID, Reward ID, Refund) | Yes — status, campaign, month, search |
| Export Backers | One row per (backer, currency) with a per-status pivot (16 columns: Backer ID, Backer Name, Backer Email, Currency, Pending Count, Pending Total, Succeeded Count, Succeeded Total, Canceled Count, Canceled Total, Refunded Count, Refunded Total, Net Received, First Pledge Date, Last Pledge Date, Campaign Count) | Status filter is ignored — every status is included as its own column |
The two exports are filter-aware in different ways on purpose: Export Pledges is the line-item view, so applying a status filter (e.g. only Succeeded) trims the CSV to match. Export Backers is an aggregated view, so every status appears as a separate column and the status filter would only obscure the picture.
A backer who has pledged in two currencies (e.g. USD and EUR) appears as two rows in the backer export. The CSV filenames are pledges-YYYY-MM-DD.csv and backers-YYYY-MM-DD.csv.
Processing Fee is what the payment processor kept out of the charge, as reported by the gateway that took it. A pledge whose gateway never reported a figure leaves the cell empty — that means “never recorded”, not “the processor kept nothing” — and an offline pledge has no processor and so no fee.
Net to Recipient can be negative on a fully refunded card pledge, because the processor keeps its fee even when the whole charge is returned. It exports as a real negative number so a spreadsheet can sum it. See When a refund leaves you below zero. The backer export’s Net Received is a different figure — a backer’s succeeded total less what was returned to them — and cannot go below zero.
The per-campaign version of this export — the Export Pledges button on a campaign’s management view — is scoped to a single campaign and emits a 16-column file optimized for reward fulfillment.
How settings are stored
Section titled “How settings are stored”All plugin settings are stored in a single WordPress option: igcf_settings. This keeps the options table clean and makes it easy to export/import settings.
