Add-ons
Add-ons are separate plugins that layer extra functionality — such as online payment gateways — on top of Ignition Crowdfunding. The core plugin works on its own; add-ons are optional and installed only when you want what they offer.
This section collects the user guide for each add-on. When you install an add-on, look for its guide here to learn how it works and how to configure it.
Available add-ons
Section titled “Available add-ons”- Ignition Contributions — Let backers voluntarily add a tip, cover the platform commission, or cover the payment processing fee on top of their pledge, itemised and shown before they authorise the payment.
- Ignition Favorites — Let signed-in visitors favorite campaigns and revisit them from their dashboard, with an optional public favorite count.
- Ignition PayPal Gateway — Accept campaign pledges online through PayPal or a card, alongside the core plugin’s offline payment methods.
- Ignition Payouts — Record what you have paid your creators and what each payout covers: a queue of who is owed money, a history to audit it against, and a payouts page and email for creators. Requires Platform Mode.
- Ignition Platform Fees — Take a commission for your platform out of each contribution, settled by the payment provider as the backer pays. Requires Platform Mode and a gateway that splits payments.
- Ignition Platform Mode — Open your site to outside creators: a self-service creator role, a frontend campaign dashboard, and an approval queue for campaigns and updates.
Finding and installing add-ons
Section titled “Finding and installing add-ons”The list of available add-ons, which ones you already have, and where to download each lives on the Add-ons tab under Ignition > Settings. Installing and updating an add-on is done from the WordPress Plugins screen, exactly like any other plugin.
