Ignition Crowdfunding v0.6.0
Campaigns now send automatic email notifications to creators and backers at every key moment — pledge confirmations, status changes, goal milestones, and published updates. Campaign categories and tags are visible on campaign cards and single pages, with a redesigned archive filter bar. Status-based field locking prevents edits to live campaigns, and terms acceptance is now required on every checkout.
New Features
Section titled “New Features”- Email notifications — 18 transactional emails keep creators and backers informed automatically. Backer emails cover pledge confirmation, payment received, campaign succeeded/failed, goal reached, and published updates. Creator emails cover new backers, payment confirmations, campaign lifecycle events (approved, rejected, live, paused, resumed, ended, closed), goal reached, and backer cancellations. Each email can be enabled or disabled individually from the new Emails tab in Settings. See Email Notifications and Settings.
- Campaign taxonomy display — Campaign categories appear as overlay badges on campaign cards and as linked metadata on single campaign pages. Tags appear as overlays on cards and as a linked list below the campaign description. See Campaign Page and CSS Classes.
- Status-based field locking — Campaign fields are locked once a campaign leaves Draft status, preventing creators from altering live campaigns. Administrators can still edit campaigns in most statuses. The campaign form shows a status-specific message explaining why editing is restricted. See Managing Campaigns.
- Admin update restrictions — Campaign updates can only be created and edited from the Creator Dashboard. The wp-admin “Add New” button is hidden, and direct URL access redirects to the dashboard. A new “Post Update” row action on the campaigns list links administrators to the frontend form. See Managing Campaigns — Campaign updates.
Improvements
Section titled “Improvements”- Archive tag filter — The tag filter on the campaign archive is now a dropdown matching the other filter controls. Only tags attached to published campaigns appear in the list. See Managing Campaigns.
- Wizard completion badges — Step badges in the campaign form wizard are now solid notification circles with white numbers, making incomplete steps easier to spot.
Bug Fixes
Section titled “Bug Fixes”- Campaign tags not saved — Tags entered in the frontend campaign form are now saved correctly. Previously, the form sent tag names but the API only accepted term IDs, causing tags to be silently discarded.
- Media preview gap — Empty media preview areas in the update form and reward editor no longer render as blank 200px boxes.
- Backer list heading count — The backer list heading now shows the unique backer count instead of the total pledge count, matching the progress statistics.
- Terms checkbox shown per transaction — The terms acceptance checkbox now appears on every checkout, not just the first time a user pledges. This ensures each pledge has independent terms acceptance.
