Ignition Crowdfunding v0.4.2

Backers can now pledge without creating an account. Guest checkout lets visitors enter an email address and go straight to the pledge flow — no password, no registration. Campaigns also gain automatic date-based scheduling, transitioning between Preview, Active, and Ended statuses on their own.

  • Guest checkout — Backers can pledge with just an email address, no account required. Enable it in Settings and visitors in the pledge flow see a “Continue as Guest” option on the login page. Returning guests reuse their identity by email. See Guest Checkout.
  • Automatic campaign scheduling — Campaigns now transition automatically based on their dates. Preview campaigns go Active when their start date arrives, and Active campaigns End when their end date passes. An hourly background check handles the transitions. See Campaign Lifecycle.
  • Guest user admin indicator — A “Type” column in the WordPress Users list distinguishes guest users from registered backers. See User Roles.
  • Dashboard restriction for guests — Guest users see an account setup message instead of pledge history on the My Pledges tab, preventing access to previous pledge data.
  • Guest orphan cleanup — Guest users who never complete a pledge are automatically removed after 24 hours.
  • Campaign update permissions — Tightened REST API permissions to prevent unauthorized access to non-public campaign updates.
  • Guest User Service — New Igcf_Guest_User_Service class with create(), find_or_create(), is_guest(), and cleanup_orphaned() methods. See Service Layer.
  • Campaign transitions filter — New igcf_campaign_transitions filter lets add-ons register custom statuses and modify the campaign state machine. See Filters.
  • Guest checkout filter — New igcf_is_guest_checkout_enabled filter to override the guest checkout setting programmatically. See Filters.
  • Action hooks — Three new hooks: igcf_guest_user_created, igcf_guest_user_deleted, igcf_after_guest_checkout. See Actions.
  • Cron events — Two new scheduled events: igcf_campaign_check_dates (hourly) and igcf_guest_cleanup (daily). See Actions.
