Ignition PayPal Gateway v0.1.0
The first release of Ignition PayPal Gateway, a premium add-on for Ignition Crowdfunding. Backers on a direct-mode install can pay online with PayPal or a credit/debit card, and pledges settle automatically. Requires Ignition Crowdfunding 0.18.0 or later and a PayPal Business account.
New Features
Section titled “New Features”- Online PayPal payments — Backers pay with PayPal or a card through PayPal’s hosted approval flow, so no card data touches your site. Offered on flexible-funding campaigns. See Ignition PayPal Gateway.
- Connect with live and sandbox credentials — Save your PayPal Business API credentials on the Payments tab and verify them with a built-in connection test. The environment is chosen per campaign — test campaigns use sandbox, real campaigns use live — with no site-wide switch. See Connecting your PayPal account.
- Automatic settlement — Payments capture and pledges settle automatically once a backer approves, kept in sync with PayPal without polling.
- Complete an interrupted payment — A pending PayPal pledge shows a Complete payment action on the backer dashboard, so a failed or abandoned payment isn’t a dead-end. See Finishing an interrupted payment.
- Refunds through PayPal — Issue full or partial refunds from core’s refund action; they settle through PayPal to the backer’s original payment method. See Refunds.
