Ignition PayPal Gateway v0.6.0
When PayPal was missing from a campaign, all you could see was that it wasn’t there. With Ignition Crowdfunding 0.23.0 or later, the campaign’s page in wp-admin now lists every reason in plain language, with a link to the settings where the fix lives. This release also closes a gap where PayPal could still charge a pledge that had just been cancelled.
New Features
Section titled “New Features”- Every reason PayPal isn’t offered — A campaign’s payment methods in wp-admin explain why PayPal is hidden: fixed funding, missing Live or Sandbox credentials, missing Platform credentials or Account ID, or a creator who hasn’t connected or can’t be paid yet. Every reason is listed at once, not just the first. Messages name the creator and the environment. Credential reasons link administrators to the PayPal settings, and on a test campaign they say PayPal uses Sandbox. No saved credential is ever shown. Requires Ignition Crowdfunding 0.23.0 or later; on an older core, PayPal is offered or hidden exactly as before. See Why PayPal isn’t offered on a campaign.
Bug Fixes
Section titled “Bug Fixes”-
A cancelled pledge could still be charged — If PayPal’s payment notification was already being handled when a pledge was cancelled, the payment could still be captured. A pledge that is no longer pending is now never captured.
-
Cancelling a pledge PayPal already paid — Cancelling a pending pledge whose PayPal payment had already gone through lost track of a real charge. That cancel is now refused with “This pledge may already have been paid at PayPal. Refund it instead of cancelling.” See Cancel or refund?.
