Ignition Platform Fees v0.2.0

A commission is taken out of a pledge as it is split to the creator. If a site routes pledges to the platform instead, nothing is being split — so nothing is collected, whatever rate you set. This release says so, out loud, instead of leaving a configured rate silently uncollected.

New Features

• A warning when nothing can be collected — Set a rate or a minimum on a site where pledges go to the platform rather than to creators, and the settings screen says “No commission is being collected” and explains why. You can leave the commission set up ready for later, or change Who Receives Pledges. The warning appears whenever either field is set, not just the rate — a 0% rate with a minimum still collects, so a minimum-only setup would otherwise slip past unnoticed. Improvements

• Commission figures follow the Live/Test view — The Platform Commission and Net after Commission tiles on a creator’s admin detail view scope to whichever view you are in, so they reconcile with the gross figures beside them. In Live view a creator with no commission still gets no tiles, exactly as before. In Test view the tiles always render, zero included — a captioned $0.00 tile is the honest answer, where showing nothing would be indistinguishable from the add-on not being installed. Developer

• Commission reads take a scope — Igcf_Fees_Net::commission_for_creator( $user_id, $scope ) requires a scope, since it reads across campaigns. gross_terms_by_campaigns() takes an optional one, applied to the charge and reversal halves together so a scoped charge can never net against an unscoped reversal. Compatibility

• Now requires Ignition Crowdfunding 0.21.0 — commission figures are counted under core’s query scope, which 0.21.0 introduces. The add-on refuses to start on an older core and names what to update.
